This set is great. For $20 you really cannot go wrong & I was not able to find a better set for anything close to this price range. As was mentioned before, this is not the best set, but you are not paying for the best set. I will say that this is one time that you get more than you pay for.
Good bits, they cut well, and have lasted well. Yes there are better bits that can make better cuts and last longer before they need to be sharpened or replace, But not at 19.98 for a set of seven. You can even use them in your cordless drill with out slipping. If you need to cut thousands of holes then spend more for better bits, but if you need to do a few holes around the shop these are great.
This is important with forstner bits because they take a big bite, especially the large bits. I like the Hex shanks.
One thing I want to say. This is a great set of forstner bits for a good price.
It is 1/4" to 1". Amazon says this set is 1/4" to 7/8".
That is incorrect. Many forstner bits from other manufacturers have round shanks and if not tightened into your drill chuck with force, they will slip.
I have the 7 piece set, but will be ordering the 12 piece set also, because I want the larger than 1" bit sizes.
